I had a chance to "unexpectedly" bump into Bono one morning when I was working at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto in a few years back. One of those weird things where you are going about another uneventful work day and sure enough there he was in the one of the galleries as part of some launch. It was a small group of people including the media, so luckily is was pretty calm and reserved. (The way it should be in any art gallery!!) He was a very charming and friendly guy, and it sure made the day for us U2 fans!

my absolute favourite band ever. it brings back so many incredible memories spanning a ridiculous number of years. the best one was when I was in my mid teens, working on my motorbike under a tarp in the rain and Sunday Bloody Sunday came on the radio I probably should not have had there... blew me away. When I hear it now, I can still see the exact moment and smell the grease, wd40 and gas.

Glorius. Haven't heard it in years. Just triggered me to go unearth the old U2 vinyl to listen to "New Years Day". Off to locate mp3 version now so I can hear it without the crackling (although that adds a certain something) !
