Oddly Fred I have been reading your column for a long time and never knew that much about you or what you look like. It is good to see the man behind the words. Especially in a Miss Blackberry pageant :-D

Fred, you do not watch enough price is right. If he guessed 26, and you thought it was higher, the logical guess would have been 27! Come on... should have been all over that!

We've all seen this before.

1) Lose
2) Claim it was rigged
Now.....
3) Gain 30 pounds, grow a beard and find a new "cause"
4) Setup companies designed to profit from your new cause
5) Win Nobel "Peace" Prize

Much better than the alternative of winning.

It is completely ridiculous to decide a tiebreaker by having someone guess how much money is in someone’s pants pocket. This isn’t ‘Let’s Make A Deal’ it is a legit contest and should be treated as such. This Blackberry Challenge is a competition based solely on skill and experience and has nothing to do with luck.

There should never have been a question of the contest being rigged, which it clearly was, if the event organizers had put together a real tie-breaker skill contest.

If they need some ideas for a tie-breaker, here are a few from the top of my head:

- Posting on a blog from a Blackberry
- Reading a long email and replying with an intelligent ‘No not interested response’
- Opening a large Excel attachment and finding the total run rate of a business.
- Checking a stock price
- Or even writing a note to someone without being noticed.

Now, that is a real contest. We want a rematch!
