i don' t have any idea what an "analyst " does - analyzes, of course, buy in what context. If you'd like to plain what you'd like to have ,please email me And whether or not you'd like an additional blogger at specified intervals or on specific area coverage.

We purposely limited the search to people who follow our blogs. We think
that's a great pre-screen for the kind of people we want to hire. They know
about our firm and follow what we do.

We've got a number of good female candidates including one we've interviewed
already and really like.

I didn't realize there was a response until I googled my name and found on disqus a reference guide to my blog posts. Very cool.

Well let's see.

You post the job on your blog and on the Union Square Ventures blog, which limits you to those people who follow those two blogs. My guess is this demographic is heavily skewed towards men. Then you require that those people in order to apply to have a web presence, very limiting. So I guess the question should be how can you attract more female members to your online community?

What has been your strategy in the past for acquiring community members? Personally, I was referred to it. I think this definitely an interesting question.

we will take that matter under consideration. there are extenuating circumstances, but we do prefer people who can "out themselves"

A facebook profile and a resume tell us nothing about their understanding and use of the web.

A blog, a project they did, or something of that ilk is so much more helpful

Maybe it's just the soy vanilla tripple latte talking, but I feel like having a web presence is so old-school.
